The Munny and Dunny paradox!

The 23th of april 2011 we went to Fribourg (CH), after passing a selection in march, to realize a Munny custom during the Asphalt Kreatorz contest at the Cafè Le XXeme. We realized a double coustom using the 7 inches Munny (Kidrobot), provided by the organizators, and a 4 inches Munny, that we transformed in a Dunny. 

We used a quick drying modelling paste, spray paint, markers and so on, and in 7 hours we created our personal interpretation about the controversial genesis of the two characters. :-P ...so the big Munny became a sort of Egg and the small Munny (transformed in a Dunny) became the little chick coming out from the egg. The organizators gave us the first place. :-)

Volvo Art Session!

After some week we finally can show the final product of the Volvo Art Session created by Eqal and Volvo: the picture of our completed painting on the Volvo car and some video (like the one about us and the final timelaps with all the artists in the right order).

The final video was shown during the Car show in Geneva, with Michel Comte pictures and the Volvo Art-Car painted by Wes21.

Some picture of the making of (click to enlarge them). In the first one we work on the first sketch of the paper-Octopus and we start with the car decoration. In the third one we're partecipating at the photo-shooting with Michel Compte and we're painting on Melanie Winiger (more pictures here). In the fifth picture there's a view of the Volvo Art Session into the main station of Zurich.

Donut Communication on ND Mag!

It is now online the issue #1 of ND Mag, an independent digital magazine made by Naughty Design with the goal to exhibit Swiss artists with a creative platform. From page 5 you can find one of our latest artworks, an illustration called "Donut Communication", and an interview with Christian's and Pablo's answers.

The other artists in this issue are: François Thuillard, Claudia Zuber, Petra Zbinden, Natalia Gianinazzi, Marco Spitzbarth, Karin Hauser, Anouk Schneider, Taina and Akira.

First half of february!

As written some week ago, we're working on different things at the moment. Some are still in progress, some are arriving to an end and some are finished (but not ready to be published). The 10.02.2010 we partecipated at the Volvo Art Session and today we finished the sculpture for Costa Crociere (ready to go on foundry), a really different project compared to our usual works, but ordered with this style. 

Soon we will show more and better of both works, but at the moment there are only frames taken from a video and from the live webcams for the Volvo Art Session performance, and pictures of the "making off" for the Costa Crociere sculpture.

There's a little problem with our website's art galleries: we can't update them. We will soon rebuild it totally, but for the moment it's possible to DOWNLOAD OUR PDF PORTFOLIO to see our main works.

Costa Crociere

Waiting for the Volvo Art Session!

 

The 9th of february starts the "Volvo Art Session" in Zürich, at the main station. We are between the 10 artists invited by the organizators of the event (www.eqal.ch) and we have to paint this thursday (10.02.2011), from the 15:00 pm to the 01:00 am. 

The rest of the artists are: C-Line, Blackyard, Yummy Industries, Daim, Lowrider, Pius Portman, Sukibamboo, Donovan & Onur, Wes21.

Every artist has to paint on a Volvo car and on a canvas on the background, painting on the previous artist's artwork. The final product will be a video and there will be also the photographer Michel Comte during this 5-days-event, wich will end the 13.02.2011 night.

In the meanwhile...

Since december we're working on a few projects that for the moment we cannot show or that aren't yet ready. There's an illustration, an interesting live painting, a cover for a magazine, an artwork for an online magazine, some painting and a sculpture for Costa Crociere, a few graphics and paintings, and of course there are some new idea and projects for our future productions! :-)

We hope to show you something soon, but in the meanwhile we post some sketch.

Doctor's Place!

During the Christmas "holidays" we had to make a little and quick restyling into a medical doctor's office who asked us to change colours and add some funny puppet (not too agressive). ...and everything started from the window...:-P  (the quality of the pictures isn't very good, we're sorry! ..for more, and better, pictures, visit our website www.nevercrew.com)
